Currently hiring: lab manager to start as early as May 2025

The lab manager will assist with an ongoing R00 from the National Institute on Aging focused on Interpersonal Emotion Regulation in dyads where one individual has a neurodegenerative disorder. Responsibilities are both administrative and research-related, and include building and maintaining lab infrastructure, conducting and supporting lab research, building and fostering the lab community, hiring and managing a team of research assistants, overseeing lab budget and finances.  Please complete this form to apply!

 Currently hiring: postdoctoral fellow to start as early as May 2025

The postdoctoral fellow will join Dr. Brown and an active research team, and will be involved in analyzing data and writing papers from a variety of innovative multi-method studies. Significant attention will be placed on career development, with ample opportunities for advanced training, collaborations, mentorship experience, and developing an independent research program. Additional opportunities will include regular conference attendance/participation, training in grant writing, peer review, teaching, and presentations/job talks. Please complete this form to apply!

Prospective postdoctoral fellows

Dr. Brown supports postdoctoral fellows on her NIH grants and also mentors students through a number of NIH training programs (T32s) at Georgetown University. Join the Lab as a Research Assistant 

Research assistants are a crucial part of any lab. We are considering applicants who show a strong interest in the lab's work, and who are motivated and hardworking researchers. Undergraduate students are encouraged to apply.

Research opportunities:

Anyone can apply to volunteer at the Clinical Aging and Relational Emotion Science (CARES) lab.  We often accept undergraduate students and summer high school research assistants. Our minimum hours commitment for undergraduate students is 6-10 hours per week.
